The Month to Celebrate!

I love December! This season is meant for everyone... to plan their holidays, to share the joy and not just the religious clan who are so but every human being. Everyone smiles at random strangers, share small gifts, plan get together's and there is definitely love and laughter all around. Bengaluru has its own charm during this month. The weather! The beauty unfolds in the misty mornings and I can't stop the smile on my face when I watch the calm and quiet in the dawn with a hot cup of coffee. Ah, the magic..wearing warm clothes, mouth watering home made cakes (with raisins soaked in rum for months) shared by colleagues, secret santa's and gifts to surprise, team outs and lunches.. there is so much of laughter around.

The most important part of it is that, it makes one forget about the worries he or she may be carrying with them for those few hours of celebration. This month is hence a month of hopes...to thank the year that has gone by, for all the good and bad it has given and to hope, to look for much more important things to unfold in the year ahead. I am as usual at work this time of the year as well while the rest of my team are away on their holidays. But I love this. The most important benefit, zero traffic congestion on the road and hence I cover the 12 kms to office in the standard 20 minutes which in itself is a huge positive start to the day. It gives me time to reflect upon the year that has passed by. Besides the secret santa gifts this year I also happened to get some more goodies  and I have no idea who has sent those for me even now. I am just telling myself it was Santa himself for maybe some good that I did. (Mischief not managed hence. I need to start looking out for Marauder's map)

Looking back, this year has been a mix of lot of things. Extremes of happiness and extremes of sadness...But it is this mix of experience that is making each day interesting on its own. One thing that has never changed and will never change is the bountiful of wonderful friends who make my world more colorful. I have made many new friends, have shared some more 'pinky promise' 'cross on the heart 'secrets and the world does seem to be the right place to live and smile each day. Remember, its the ups and downs that is proof enough that you are living your life.

Though 2016 took away my best friend.. I wouldn't stop myself from thanking this year for all that it has given me to look up to..Here is to a wonderful year ahead

Vive!
ME MYSELF :)
